Interesting fact:

The first space shuttle was named "Enterprise" after the fictional starship from the sci-fi TV series "Star Trek". Originally, it was to be named "Constitution", but a letter-writing campaign by Star Trek fans convinced President Ford to rename it. "Enterprise" was only used for suborbital tests and never went into space.
